•Liz & Jeff~Wedding~Dec. 10th, 2011•

I can’t put into words how lucky I feel to have been part of Liz & Jeff’s wedding day.
If anyone deserves all of the love and happiness in the world its these two!  They’ve been through a lot in a short period of time, but the love they have for each other and their families has pushed them through.  Just being in the same room as them puts a smile on your face!  They’re goofy…They’re romantic…They are so perfectly matched with each other.

Their wedding was one of the most emotional weddings I’ve been too (I totally cried like a baby during speeches).  Their story is one for the ages…but it’s not my story to tell.  Just believe me when I say that Liz, Jeff & their families are proof that true love conquers all.

Not only am I thrilled to have worked with them, but I’m so happy to now call them friends.

Thank you again for letting me be part of your special day!  Your Christmas-themed weddings was one of the best I’ve been to!

Congratulations Liz & Jeff!  May your years together bring you love, health & happiness! <3

•Nicole & Ryan~Married October 15th, 2011•

I was lucky enough to be asked to be a second shooter for a wedding this past October by the wonderfully talented Ms. Christina Scobie.  She runs Christina Robertson Photography out in Peterborough.  I was absolutely honoured that she thought of me when this opportunity arose.  She’s been in the business for longer than I have and I knew it would be a great opportunity to learn a few things from her.  Plus! I’d never even been to Peterborough before…Road trip! :)

The bride & groom were an amazing couple named Nicole & Ryan.  Along with their friends & family, their golden retriever Dallas joined in on all the action too.  She got to be there the entire day, including the ceremony!  I’ve never seen a more well-behaved dog! lol  Both Bride & Groom looked stunning, and even though it was a cold, rainy October day we still had so much fun!  Ryan has a contagious smile and Nicole…well, the photos speak for themselves! She is knock-your-socks-off gorgeous! Oh! and she has a horse!…whom we got to meet and take some pictures with…amazing, right!?

Thank you to Nicole & Ryan for letting us be a part of your special day, and a HUGE thank you to Christina for inviting me to be your second shooter!  It was a blast working with you and I hope we can again sometime!

Enough blathering! Here are some shots from Nicole & Ryan’s beautiful country, Peterborough wedding :)

•Gotta Love a Country Girl•

There is nothing more relaxing then spending a day out in the country.

Luckily for me, my brother’s girlfriend, Jess, has a horse!  Who happens to board at a barn in Paris, Ontario.  If you follow my blog you have definitely seen Jessica’s face before….You’ve also seen her horse Ben lol  But this shoot was different.  Previously our photo shoot concentrated on the relationship between a girl and her horse (and the incredibly strong bond between them).  This time we just wanted to shoot some fun, out in the country photos.

A month or so ago Jess and I found this amazingly awesome, really old wedding dress at a Value Village here in Burlington.  One look at it and Jess knew she HAD to try it on.  It was just *that* awesome.  Upon trying it on we realized that this dress fit her 100% perfectly.  Like it was hand made just for her!  This was a sign….We HAD to do a photo shoot with this dress.  So we did :)

We tied the dress in to our Country-Themed day and set off on our adventure around the barn & its surrounding land.  As if this day wasn’t already perfect, the barn owner, Jen had already done a similar photo shoot with her sister & cousin.  She was so excited about it that she ran inside to grab a book of all the photos.  They all wore similarly amazing old wedding dresses.  Jen’s dyed the most perfect shade of pink.  I couldn’t pass up this opportunity!  Jen quickly went back into the house, grabbed her old pink wedding dress and joined us in our morning-o-fun!

The outcome was sheer awesomeness.  It was SO much fun watching the two of them prance around a field in vintage lace wedding dresses (one bright pink lol).  OH! i forgot to mention…not only did Jen  have this amazing pink dress, she also had giant fans.  Seriously.  It rocked.

After the dress photos Jen had to get back to work (when you run a barn all by yourself you don’t always have an entire day to devote to prancing around for photos lol) and Jess and I moved on to something a little more country. ;)

A huge THANKS goes out to my friend Amberley who lent us her acoustic guitar for the day!

Enough talking! Post some pics already!
Let me know what you guys think :)

•Hobin Family Photos~Sept 2011•

I can’t keep my camera away from these kids! :)

Chris and I met up with his brother, sister in law and our beautiful nieces at Balls Falls a few weekends ago.  You’ve seen their faces here before and I guarantee you’ll see them again! lol  These kids are growing way too fast…it never feels like I can keep up with them!

Here’s some teasers!

•Steel City•

Here’s a photo I wanted to share from last night.

Chris and I were in Hamilton visiting his mom and I wanted to stop in the industrial area on our way home…to take photos of course :)

There were a few good shots, but I liked this one the best!
